The park began with the cultivation of forests by and the planting of flowers by flower and tree farms for their livelihoods over a period of many years. The fields were then opened to the public as a park to share the beauty of the flowering plants. The sight of countless flowers blooming in the woodlands is breathtaking.

One of "The Three Great Cherry Trees of Japan," standing at a height of 13.5 meters with a root circumference of 11.3 meters, the Miharu Takizakura tree is more than 1,000 years old. The tree is lit up at night, creating a magical atmosphere.
