Mount Hachimantai Summit

In winter, snow is cleared from the Hachimantai Aspite Line to the Mount Hanchimantai summit to create a beautiful 27-kilometer driving course with walls of snow on both sides of the road where visitors can enjoy driving through a "snow corridor.

A single cherry blossom tree on Koiwai Farm

A cherry blossom tree with its majestically extended branches with Mount Iwate still adorned in snow in the background. Although its precise age is unknown, the tree was planted some 100 years ago when the land was a grazing pasture to provide shade from the intense summer sunlight for the cows, animals that are sensitive to heat.
