2-night 3-day Course taking in Famous Cherry-blossom Viewing Spots in Tohoku

This is a popular sightseeing destination in Aomori Prefecture with some of the best-known cherry blossom viewing spots in spring in Japan.

A cherry blossom tree with its majestically extended branches with Mount Iwate still adorned in snow in the background. Although its precise age is unknown, the tree was planted some 100 years ago when the land was a grazing pasture to provide shade from the intense summer sunlight for the cows, animals that are sensitive to heat.

One of the most popular secluded hot springs in Japan, the Nyuto Hot Spring Resort is a located at a spot served by more than ten hot springs. Visitors can purchase "Yumeguri-cho" tickets which grant access to seven of the hot spring spas in the resort, each providing different benefits.

A popular spot in Akita, the beautiful Lake Tazawa is the deepest in Japan. Legend has it that, long ago, it is said that a young woman called Tatsuko drank from the lake, praying for eternal beauty, and was turned into a dragon. A statue of Tatsuko now stands in the lakeshore.

Elegant Townscape know as "Michinoku no Shokyoto" redolent with a strong atmosphere of the samurai warriors who once lived here. One of the best know cherry blossom viewing spots of Tohoku where visitors can enjoy the sight of beautiful weeping cherry trees in spring.

Beautiful Somei Yoshino cherry trees planted along the embankment form a tunnel stretching for some 2 kilometers. The trees are lit up at night to create an atmosphere different to the daytime.
