2-night 3-day Driving Course in the Shirakami Sanchi Mountain Range and along the Sea of Japan

At 355 meters above sea level, Mount Kanpu has well-maintained roads ideal for driving. At the revolving observation deck at the summit, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Ogata Village, Mount Chokai and Cape Nyudozaki.

Cape at the northernmost tip of Oga Peninsula, a well-known scenic spot in Oga. Visitors can look out over the Sea of Japan as they enjoy the blue sky and expansive lawn.

Scheduled to be registered as a UNESCO Intangible heritage, "Oga no Namahage" is an event celebrating joy-bringing spirits from the divine realms. Also, at the Oga Shinzan Folklore Museum next to the Namahage Museum, visitors can experience reenactments of the Namahage event celebrated on New Year's Eve.

The Oga Hot Spring Resort, which flourished as a health resort, is a hot spring facility where visitors can enjoy the Sea of Japan and natural scenery of Oga. Hearty stone-cooked food prepared by putting a stone heated until it is red into a wooden tub with fish and shell is a famous specialty of Oga.

Visitors can take a break from driving at the roadside station where local produce is sold fresh from the farm. The station is also provided with an information corner where visitors can check road information using a touch panel and a restaurant.

Mysterious pond in the mountain range that has an inky blue appearance. The color seems to change depending on the sunlight, but the reason for the pond's bluish appearance remains a mystery.

Visitors can look out over the vast Sea of Japan as they relax in the famous open-air pool by the sea. The spectacular view from the pool of the sun setting on the horizon is a must.

Visitors can enjoy the awesome natural scenery of this rock beach that emerged from the sea during an earthquake. Designated as one "Japan's 100 Most Beautiful Sunsets," the sun setting over the Sea of Japan is a stunning sight.

Many hotels with hot spring facilities can be found around JR Ajigasawa Station. Local specialties include marinated flounder on rice and grilled squid.

As well as souvenirs form Aomori, regional specialties from Hokkaido to Okinawa are sold here. Popular items include homemade apple and ice cream. Visitors can enjoy picking apples at the "Apple Hill Tourism Apple Farm" in the harvest season.

Largest scale village remains where visitors can experience "villages" of the Jomon Era (circa 5500 - 4000 BC). Precious remains of pit dwellings, embankments and other structures can be seen here.

Located next to the Sannai Maruyama Site, the museum exhibits any works by popular artists of Aomori Prefecture and is a popular destination for people from both Aomori Prefecture and other regions.

The "Aomori Nebuta Matsuri (Float Festival)" is Aomori's best-known festival. At the Nebuta Museum Wa Rasse, visitors can learn about the history of the festival and enjoy hands-on experiences. The size of the full-sized floats on permanent display is really impressive.
